Barbs, belonging to the family Cyprinidae, are a group of active and hardy freshwater fish celebrated for their diverse species, vibrant colors, and engaging behaviors. Native to various regions across Asia and Africa, they have become a popular choice among aquarium enthusiasts. Known for their playful and sometimes nippy behaviors. Their striking colors and schooling nature make them a favorite in community tanks, though they do best with similarly active tank mates.
